EFT Weight Loss Coaching is coaching with all the usual skills and benefits, and more. It is not a formal program, but open coaching based on the goals and challenges you bring forward, using EFT as the primary tool and technique.
WHAT IS EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques – often referred to as ‘tapping.’ It is a leading edge, stress-reduction technique that works quickly to reduce or eliminate the stress caused by negative emotions. It is also a self-help tool, so easy to learn even a child can do it.
Throughout our lives we store an ocean of memories and experiences in our minds and bodies, not all of them are conscious or joyful. With EFT we can remove the sting, or the stress, of the experiences that affect us.
Be it repeated put-downs from a caregiver, or that fight with your boss that just happened, by applying EFT you can be free of that experience. It becomes just a story, without any attachment, negativity or stress – emotional freedom! And with emotional freedom those putdowns no longer limit you and the disagreement can be remedied.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
EFT corrects the energy imbalances in our bodies by borrowing from western psychology and ancient eastern medicine. We identify and tune into the stressor, while we tap on nine different acupuncture points with the fingertips. At the same time we name the problem, we couple it with a statement of self-acceptance.
This simple process often leads to a greater sense of wellbeing because when energies flow through the body, the body heals itself. Studies show that cortisol, our body’s primary stress hormone, is reduced when doing EFT. The result is that we see things differently. We can operate from a clean slate, from choice.
EFT is able to affect a wide range of problems, including excess weight. The reason is because it reduces stress, and stress, in one form or another, is a component of many problems.
